Yesterday Amrapali Sapphire society celebrated world environment day in in Noida. Almost 120 plants were planted inside the campus like Tulsi, Curry leaves, Panda, Hamelia, Bougavillea, Champa, Gulmohar, Madhumalti, Raatrani, Amla , Neem, Harsingar, Naarangi et and there were other activities too for senior citizens, residents and kids.
But the best part was that celebration was started with a Composting workshop by Mission Green Delhi member Ranju Minhas. Workshop was very interesting and informative and taught us how to create compost out of kitchen waste. Citizens of the society are inspired to make compost at their homes now.
Syngonium plants were gifted in clay pots to all kids and one per family to participants too.
Activities Planned for this event:
Demonstration of compost making using our kitchen waste and some useful tips on gardening✨
🌸🌱 Plantation by senior citizens , residents and our dear children.
🌸🌱Labeling plants by children (age group -11 yrs onwards).
🌸🌱Fun activity for kids (age group 8-11yrs). Kids to bring their own art and craft materials along with the card boards.
Participation gifts to all kids 💥💥
✨🌱🌸 Plants would be provided to senior citizens
🌱🌸 Residents were requested to bring the plants for plantation activity ( if you wish to do.. totally voluntary 😊).
✨As the theme is ‘AIR POLLUTION one can bring air purifier plants like Areca palm, Raphis palm, Snake plant and Bougainvillea double , Raatrani, Champa, Madhumalti, starlight panda, curry leaves, Ixora etc / any plant of choice.
