Tamarind Tamarindus indica L Imli (Indian Name) is a tree, which was introduced to India so long ago that it is believed to be indigenous. In optimum conditions this bright green dense tree can grow 80 feet with a spread of 35 feet. The fruit is 3-8 inches long, brown and its irregular curved pods have 6-12 seeds. The pulp of this fruit is used to make the MILI Candy.
