The wind will change again and bless Delhi with lung-killing toxic gases. News and media channels will again start blooming with AQI status updates. People will start blame game by passing on responsibility to vehicles on road, farmers in Punjab & Haryana and Polythene users. On the other hand the demon of pollution is going to penetrate in our bodies through soil, water and air, making our life worse than it is now.
Government, Supreme Court and National Green Tribunal(NGT) along with citizens of Delhi are devising policies and regulations to control air pollution, but impact is still invisible. Need of an hour is monitoring and evaluation of what had worked so far and what has not. With an objective of proving what is working to curb air pollution, i heard today that third edition of Air-O-Thon is arriving in New Delhi on 26th Oct 2018 organized by VProspurs and IPCA. The conference will focus on understanding effects of pollution on our health, and how to leverage technology to mitigate risks to human lives in the state.
Thanks VProspurs for inviting me for this wonderful initiative and providing us an opportunity to leverage ourselves from knowledge and expertise of great environment industry leaders.
