Makar Sankranti Celebration with Urban Gardeners of Delhi NCR

Makar Sankranti Festival was celebrated by Paryawaran Mitras From Delhi-NCR at Harit Bagwani Nursery, Burari on 15th January 2023. The event was organized by environmentalist and terrace gardening expert Pravin Mishra.

The event started with Pooja, and Aradhna, and proceeded with fun, interesting games. The meetup was organized by all the passionate Urban Gardeners. Having delicious food in the sunny field was a privilege. Food was arranged by the members. The green fields were a treat for the eyes. To top it all, fresh organic vegetables from farms were distributed as return gifts.

Urban Kitchen Gardening Training Session at Prashant Vihar Rohini

Urban Kitchen gardening training session was organized at Prashant Vihar, Rohini, Sector-14 on 31st July 2022. Along with Urban Gardening expert Shri Rajkumar Goyal, environmentalist and gardening expert Pravin Mishra delivered a workshop and gardening session.

Earlier in May government of Delhi also announced that they would be supporting and popularizing urban farming entrepreneurship among Delhi citizens. Awareness workshops and entrepreneurship training programmes would be conducted across the capital. In addition to the improvement in city’s green cover, these programs would help generate green jobs and earning opportunities in Delhi.

Pravin Mishra, Environmentalist and Urban Kitchen Gardening Expert organized “Innovative Urban Gardeners Meet & Green Talk on the occasion of National plantation week (1-7 July 2022) on the topic “How to Reduce Domestic Waste Pollution through Urban Gardening in India” on Saturday 2nd July 2022 at White House Apartments, Rohini, Sector-13 New Delhi-110085.

He inspired everyone to grow and use microgreens at home and to add them to food as micronutrients. Also, members in this meet exchanged and distributed plants among each other.
