Step back and take a good look into insights

Instead of performing any fateful launch of our web product, it’s good to slow down,  step back sometimes and have good looks into market research data, industry reports and insights. Initiating keyword research, plopping them and skewing out SEO and Social Media Audits weekly, will only bring out negative wonders. Blindly performing competitive research and being technically correct would seems like inevitable stealing of competitor data. This will never work. Growth charts will go down.

At greentechdelhi.com research lab, we try to ask following two questions from our Strategy Deity –

  1. What to promote and what to not.
  2. Whom to promote and whom to not.

SEO & Social Media Strategy for Green Delhi

Most important step in our SEO and Social Media Strategy planning, is to understand who our target audience are, what are they interested in, what topics they love, what environmental, health & technology related problems they are facing, where are they participating and where are they coming from.  To achieve this , i am doing mini surveys using google docs and survey monkey.

Once we know our target audience in detail, it’s easy to work on keywords, links, URL’s, content prioritization & optimization, campaigns.

As a digital learner, i am working on figuring out keywords on which i am loosing traffic on greentechdelhi.com. Also planning to take off obsolete & non-working keywords and content from the website. Tools like Keyword  Discovery, Wordtracker and Google Keyword Planner have been helpful to get keyword ideas, search volume, referral volume and click through rate. Once keywords are shortlisted, we will infuse them in our content, metas and campaigns.

As our primary goal is brand awareness for Mission Green Delhi, we would love to see more impressions, more views, more greentech buzz on social media and eventually more direct traffic on greentechdelhi.com.  Micro conversions like downloads, sign ups, registrations and subscriptions would still remain our secondry goals.
