Greening Delhi: NGOs and grassroots environmental organizations have begun teaming with government and everyday citizens to clean up Delhi. Together they have instituted new green policies, embedded watchdog agencies, and empowered and educated individuals. Grassroots projects, such as Mission Green Delhi and Green Leap Delhi, call upon individuals to help make change, while blogs like Delhi Greens and conferences like Delhi Sustainable Development Summit spread awareness of the acute problem. Supporting Slums Children in Delhi

Mission Green Delhi has been supporting Learning center started by one of the big NGO’s of Delhi Deepalaya (www.deepalaya.org) in Okhla Phase-1 Goal Kuan, who is working for welfare of children by providing them non formal education and awareness on benefits of hygiene. Deepalaya enables children in Delhi slums to show their talent by participating in various extra curricular activities like music, quiz competitions and health awareness campaigns.
