रहती थी वो साथ में मेरे, जाने वो किस गली गयी
जीवन की इस बगिया में, क्यों छोड़ के मुझको चली गयी
इक माँ थी जो सब मानती थी, इक माँ थी जो सब जानती थी
छोड़ के मुझको यहां अकेला, कहाँ अचानक चली गयी

माँ की मुझको याद सताए, ना वो अपने पास बुलाये
बहुत रो रहा मन ये मेरा, ना वो अपनी गोद सुलाए
कहीं दिखाई अब ना देती, धुप अचानक चली गयी
इक माँ थी जो सब मानती थी, इक माँ थी जो सब जानती थी
छोड़ के मुझको यहां अकेला, कहाँ अचानक चली गयी

वो कहती थी तुम नाम करोगे, सबका तुम ही ध्यान रखोगे
जो खुशियां हर पल सबको बांटे, ऐसा तुम ही ज्ञान रखोगे
मुझको सारी खुशियां देकर, ममता देकर चली गयी
इक माँ थी जो सब मानती थी, इक माँ थी जो सब जानती थी
