Proud to announce that one of our Mission Green Delhi platform members Anubha Jain, was invited to be part of a panel discussion on ‘Asthma – Relevance, Triggers and Prevention’ at India Today Mediaplex on Thursday 25th April 2019.

Anubha Jain has been very active in organizing and managing plantation activities in Vaishali and other regions of Delhi NCR and is the founder of NGO Nurture Planet. The panelists also included former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid, brand ambassador for air purifier business for Philips India and renowned medical practitioners.

The panel discussion was meant to discuss the following points related to Asthma in India:

1. Significance of World Asthma Day to India?
2. Alternative solutions to reduce the triggers of Asthma?
3. The Government has finalized a National Clean Air Programme to improve the air quality in India. Talk about the Government’s role in controlling Air Pollution and in turn reducing the burden of Asthma
4. Steps that need to be taken to keep ourselves healthy and asthma-free?

Mission Green Delhi group member Akash Bhardwaj along with his 4 other friends Ritik Kumar, Navneet Saroha, Vinay & Vijay Challia planted 25 saplings at Rajdhani College fencing, University of Delhi.

SDMC Chairman supported them for this initiative after they requested saplings for this campaign to save Delhi from carbon emissions.

Deshbandhu College, New Delhi is going to celebrate Earth Day on 22^nd April 2019 with volunteer support from Integrated Volunteers Network (IVN) in the college premises to initiate the process of THE GREEN COLLEGE (HARA BHARA DESHBANDHU MAHAVIDYALAYA) with active involvement from Students, Teachers, Volunteers, Administration, Experts from climate change & environmentalist. This Green college initiative is to ensure the eco-friendly sustainable efforts in making the college environment greenery.
