Environment Day Celebrations at Amrapali Sapphire Phase 2, Sector 45, Noida

Yesterday Amrapali Sapphire society celebrated world environment day in in Noida. Almost 120 plants were planted inside the campus like Tulsi, Curry leaves, Panda, Hamelia, Bougavillea, Champa, Gulmohar, Madhumalti, Raatrani, Amla , Neem, Harsingar, Naarangi et and there were other activities too for senior citizens, residents and kids.

But the best part was that celebration was started with a Composting workshop by Mission Green Delhi member Ranju Minhas. Workshop was very interesting and informative and taught us how to create compost out of kitchen waste. Citizens of the society are inspired to make compost at their homes now.

Plants of society are labeled to help people identify them

Syngonium plants were gifted in clay pots to all kids and one per family to participants too.

Activities Planned for this event:

Demonstration of compost making using our kitchen waste and some useful tips on gardening✨

🌸🌱 Plantation by senior citizens , residents and our dear children.
🌸🌱Labeling plants by children (age group -11 yrs onwards).
🌸🌱Fun activity for kids (age group 8-11yrs). Kids to bring their own art and craft materials along with the card boards.

Participation gifts to all kids 💥💥
✨🌱🌸 Plants would be provided to senior citizens
🌱🌸 Residents were requested to bring the plants for plantation activity ( if you wish to do.. totally voluntary 😊).

✨As the theme is ‘AIR POLLUTION one can bring air purifier plants like Areca palm, Raphis palm, Snake plant and Bougainvillea double , Raatrani, Champa, Madhumalti, starlight panda, curry leaves, Ixora etc / any plant of choice.

Environmentalist Anubha Jain Talked About Asthma – Relevance, Triggers & Prevention at India Today

Proud to announce that one of our Mission Green Delhi platform members Anubha Jain, was invited to be part of a panel discussion on ‘Asthma – Relevance, Triggers and Prevention’ at India Today Mediaplex on Thursday 25th April 2019.

Anubha Jain has been very active in organizing and managing plantation activities in Vaishali and other regions of Delhi NCR and is the founder of NGO Nurture Planet. The panelists also included former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid, brand ambassador for air purifier business for Philips India and renowned medical practitioners.

The panel discussion was meant to discuss the following points related to Asthma in India:

  1. Significance of World Asthma Day to India?
  2. Alternative solutions to reduce the triggers of Asthma?
  3. The Government has finalized a National Clean Air Programme to improve the air quality in India. Talk about the Government’s role in controlling Air Pollution and in turn reducing the burden of Asthma
  4. Steps that need to be taken to keep ourselves healthy and asthma-free?
