Got a chance to visit 8th century temple built at shore of the Bay of Bengal in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. This site was a busy port during the reign of Narasimhavarman II of the Pallava dynasty. It is one of the oldest structural (versus rock-cut) stone temples of South India.
We traveled to Coorg, beautiful hill station which is 7 hours drive from Bangalore. And found this place in Makkandur Village, Madikeri. My wife and daughter are having fun but i had a scary experience here when a leech stuck to my feet and started sucking blood. I advise wearing shoes whenever you visit such greener places in monsoon. You might welcomed by insects, snakes and leeches.
We stayed for two days in Kumily, Thekkady during our trip to Kerala. And we found a scary forest adjacent to our resort where people have witnessed wild animals like deer, tiger, monkeys etc. Entry is not allowed for people inside this Periyaar Tiger Reserve gate.
